This app was made bei SimpleTrading which has a mission to make the trading simple for everyone!
The SMA Crossover app shows you the stocks which had a Simple Moving Average (SMA) crossover in the last three days, together with the corresponding direction. The crossover is based on the daily closing prices and is a strong trade signal.
Please be a little bit patient. The download and analysing of data can take up to 30 seconds. We are working on improving the performance and make the experience more pleasant. If you have some improving suggestions or ideas for new features, please let us know.
The using of the app is as simple as possible. There are two dropdown boxes and one button. The first dropdown box contains major US and European stock indices. You can choose from which index you want to scan the stocks. The second dropdown box contains the four mostly used Simple Moving Averages. You can choose one of them. When you press the "scan stocks" button, the app analyzes financial data and shows you a list of stocks which prices crossed the chosen SMA within the last three days. Beside the name of the stock an arrow shows the direction of the crossover.
The list of stocks together with the direction of each crossover can be a great aid for making your own trading decisions.
New in version 1.3:
Introduced so-called Intraday Crossovers. This means that an SMA was crossed (or touched) intraday but then the price bounced back and therefore the closing price was on the same side as the opening price. This scenario could be very helpful in some trading strategies.
